Cinestar Hexacopter
A lot of people ask, what is the difference between the hexacopter and octocopter?
The simple answer is Power. 8 engines means more thrust, longer flight times and heavier payloads.
The Cinestar hexacopter happily supports payloads up to around 1.5kg for about 10 minutes. It is mainly suited to cameras like the Sony NEX7 or other similar hybrid/mirrorless cameras.
The Cinestar hexacopter can also fly the GoPro for 25 minutes on one battery.
When comparing flight characteristics with the octocopter, they are both very similar. The hexacopter is a slightly more agile model, but is just as stable as the octocopter.
So how much wind can the Cinestar hexacopter perform well in?
As with all machines, the higher the wind, the harder to fly. Basically, there will be noticeable differences in flight characteristics above 7kts, especially with strong gusts of wind.
not only will flight performance reduce, but the quality of onboard footage may also suffer.
Features like position hold and return to base will still work well.
The Cinestar Hexacopter can be easily disassembled for travel but is also sturdy enough to sit in the back seat of your car between jobs.
